Chris has 18 years of experience coaching weightlifting and 15 years as a strength and conditioning coach. He heads up all of our weightlifting programmes and specialises in science-backed and results-driven strength and conditioning for sports performance.

Alongside being a multiple English and British weightlifting champion, Chris was a senior international weightlifter for 14 years and has represented GB at multiple European and World Championships, as well as England on multiple occasions including the 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Chris made his Masters international debut in May 2025, becoming the reigning European Masters champion.
Chris has delivered weightlifting and strength and conditioning consultancy to Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth medallists and other international level athletes from a variety of sports including weightlifting, powerlifting, water polo, volleyball, athletics, swimming, American football, rugby league, basketball, dog agility, canicross and table tennis.
More recently Chris teamed up with Craig Richey to improve his weaknesses and coached him to victory at the 2022 British Weightlifting Championships using his weightlifting programme methodologies.
Currently Chris is pursuing a second masters degree in physiotherapy and intends to bring more evidence-based exercise prescription and injury prevention into his coaching practice.
